Lotte Jansen

Hello, I'm Lotte Jansen, I'm 17 and from Leiden, Netherlands. Growing up in this historic city with its charming canals and one of Europe's oldest universities, I've nurtured a profound love for culture, history, and art. I'm eager to explore new cultural horizons, with a special interest in the dynamic heritage and lifestyle of Southern Europe.

In school, I've delved into the arts, particularly painting and graphic design. My art often captures the essence of community and the interplay between modernity and tradition, inspired by Leiden's rich past and vibrant present. Winning a few local art competitions has only fueled my desire to learn more, and I'm excited about the prospect of integrating new cultural elements into my work from abroad.

Leiden has instilled in me the importance of community and cultural exchange. I volunteer at our local art museum, assisting in educational programs for youth. I'm looking forward to bringing my Dutch perspective to new environments, sharing and learning in equal measure. I'm particularly interested in Italy or Spain but anywhere else is just as good as what matters is the people and not the place.
